September Update…

Well…just like that September has come and gone.  We’ve been doing so well on keeping up the blog…just too much going on this past month to stay on top of it. So, here is a recap and some photos…we’ll get back at it…promise 😉

Here is a laundry list of all the big things happening.

– We moved into a new, bigger rental house September 7th.  It’s hard to believe it made things instantly better. Both kids are sleeping well, we have room to put stuff away…and even have more time in the evenings to do things like read books.  Who knew?

– Talia started school.  That’s huge! Her teacher is Mrs. Lee – she’s really great.  We’re  so excited for her – she’s so excited to go everyday.  A few highlights (Tal – this is for you to look back on when you are older ;)):

– On the first day Tal met her friend Carter from the playground.  He sat beside her and had his hand on her lap the   entire time. He kept pointing to his Mom and saying ‘this is Talia’ – cute/disturbing (for your dad)

– The first day that Dad took you to school he went to introduce himself to Mrs. Lee. When he did that, you marched right past him and sat on the carpet…and didn’t even say goodbye. I was on a flight to Toronto, when I landed, Dad called and said ‘You’re not going to believe this…she’s all grown up!’

– Next…and quite huge news…Beth got her permanent residency…and a few weeks later…her family arrived.  Amazing!  6 1/2 years later and finally reunited.  We are so incredibly grateful for Beth and so amazed by the sacrifices she has made to give her family a better life.  It makes realize the things that are truly important.

– Auntie Desi had baby #3 – Hank E.K. Miller – super cute …pretty sure he will grow up to be an amazing writer. Looks like a dear old soul. 😉

– We took a one night cruise from Seattle to Vancouver with the Kenney’s to celebrate our Fresh PR Christmas Party – early, I know…but it is literally hairy once moustache season starts.  Gill and Joe took the kids to Whistler (amazing).  They had the best time…all seemed to go smoothly (we hope).

– Auntie Rach came to visit with all of her animals on her way back to Ontario (we hope not for good  – sorry B & D ;)).  I don’t think I have ever seen a cat as large as Jack Sparrow – it seemed ironic that Will called him Kitty Cat.

And just like that it’s October – Tal just moved into a booster seat.  My Dad’s coming tomorrow for a visit.  We’re headed to Canon Beach for Thanksgiving.  Work craziness is in full swing…and life is good 😉

Stay tuned for pics – I will upload them one by one.

Love to all 😉 xo
