Turtle Bay – Day 1

Wow…we are so lucky! What a fantastic hotel!

This was our first trip heading west…didn’t realize the challenge of that time difference. 4am kid wake up wasn’t really that cool…but great to see their excitement once sunrise revealed the beauty of Turtle Bay. Pictures speak more than words…so enjoy!

We made it in one piece. Tal was a superstar traveller…Will partied like a rock star last night and missed his nap today…any guesses on how he made out on the flight? Parents earn their stripes when the travel with little ones like Wildcard Will.i.am 😉 Safely snug as a bug at Turtle Bay 😉

Will’s barrel of Monkeys

When Will was born Gemma and Brode gave him the most amazing cuddly monkey. He loved it SO much…didn’t ever want to be without it. So one day when I was out shopping I found another one just like it..and thought…for $20 that’s a pretty good insurance policy if monkey gets lost.

As it turned out, Monkey did get lost. On public transit. I thought there was no way he would be found. Leave it to the amazing Beth to call lost and found…and recover the coveted monkey.  When they went to claim it, the Translink employee commented on how it had to have been his because of the look of sheer joy on his face.

At that time, I was in Toronto, and came across another monkey.  I thought, since we lost the other one, it would still be worth the $20 for a back-up. Now we are rich with monkeys. Two were kept hidden…until…

A few weeks ago, Will came across the hidden monkeys. He was elated. MORE MONKEYS!  Now he won’t sleep without MORE Monkeys. No more back-ups, he brings these three everywhere.
